Nutrients from Nature – Eat A Rainbow
This month we take a look at the health benefits of a diet that includes a wide variety of phytonutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. Phytonutrients include many natural compounds found in plants – such as antioxidants – that work in different ways to support immunity, prevent chronic disease, and potentially help you live longer.
Join our Genentech resident Registered Dietitian Lulu Cook in the cafe as we feature options that provide the right variety of phytonutrients for you to “eat a rainbow” of deeply colored plant-based foods, as the color is usually an indication of the type of phytonutrient that the plant contains.
